UNITED PLASTICS GROUP, INC. ACQUIRES SUPREME PLASTICS, INC.

This acquisition is the second of several that UPG intends to accomplish in 2000


WESTMONT, IL – June 30, 2000 – United Plastics Group, Inc., a full service manufacturer of plastic products for the electronics, medical, consumer and industrial markets, today announced the acquisition of Supreme Plastics, Inc. of Gladewater, TX. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.


"With this acquisition, we continue to assemble a balanced network of locations, and expand our capabilities in the electronics and industrial markets that will provide products and services to our core group of strategic partners," said William J. Kriss, President and CEO of United Plastics Group, Inc. "This acquisition is the second of several that we intend to accomplish in 2000 in support of our customers’ global reach."


United Plastics Group most recently acquired custom injection molder OR Plastics, Inc. on June 5, 2000.


Headquartered in Gladewater, TX, Supreme Plastics is a fully integrated injection molder of products and value-added services for the electronics and industrial/automotive markets. Supreme Plastics was founded in 1990 by David Frye in White Oak, TX in a 12,000-sq. ft. facility with six molding machines. Today Supreme Plastics employs over 300 employees and has manufacturing operations in Gladewater, TX, Pharr, TX, and a shelter assembly operation in Reynosa, Mexico. David Frye will continue to serve as president.
